Melrose Kitchen is a hidden gem! I had the best BLT I’ve ever tasted—perfectly tender pork belly, fresh lettuce and tomato, and a soft toasted bread that hit the spot. The service was just as impressive—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s such a good feeling to enjoy an amazing meal and also feel appreciated as a guest. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

The food and service here were like eating brunch made by someone that loves you. Our server Amber was attentive, quick, and sweet— we never had to ask for anything, she anticipated all of our needs and that of the entire restaurant. Our food came out fresh and hot and it tasted even better than it sounded on the menu. It smelled amazing and the flavor combos were pitch perfect. We got the Chick “In” Waffle and the Pork Belly BLT sandwich and both were fantastic and crispy. Any sogginess was perfectly balanced out. Waffle was the best we’ve ever had- crispy outside and melt-in-your-mouth inside and sweet but not sickly sweet. The battered chicken was savory enough to complement the rest of it. The bread of my pork belly sandwich was so flaky and delicious, pork belly was perfectly seared, and the veggies were fresh. I hate pickles but kept them in and didn’t even notice them because the flavor was so balanced! Fries were average but seasoned which was nice. We eat at a lot of breakfast places but I think we just found our new favorite! Loved it so much had to leave a review as soon as we left.

What sets this place apart is its ability to take a simple, classic dish and elevate it into something exceptional—delicious, comforting, and unforgettable. I can get an egg sandwich anywhere, or even make one myself, but I keep coming back here because they do something I can’t replicate. The homemade croissant takes it to another level, making this the best (and perhaps the largest) egg sandwich in Phoenix.

If you are looking for a place to get a good meal, look no further than Melrose Kitchen. The food is fantastic and always made fresh. The atmosphere is that of a home town dinner with classic jazz music to sooth your cares of the day away or put a hop in your step for the start of the day.

My new favorite place in the Valley. The food is sooo good. Breakfast and lunch served only. The service is exceptional. Harmon the cook and owner is the best, being attentive and making every visit enjoyable. The atmosphere is so pleasant. Oldies but goodies music playing, art on the wall, some for sale. The restrooms are very clean too, although I wasn’t sure which one to go in initially (wink, wink). Now time for my Chik “IN” Waffle which looks amazing!

What a great place. I had the Chick "in" Waffle. What a great twist on a classic. My side order of Sunnyside up eggs were very well cooked. The decor gives a very nice vibe. The owner spent significant time talking to us and chatting about the area and other local places. All around, an exceptional experience!

Awesome to see all the new things coming together here. Love the ongoing updates to the menu and restaurant space itself. So rare to find food prepared and shared with so much soul, passion and love. If you get a chance, be sure to sample the best breakfast tacos in the Valley. Kristen’s scratch-made flour tortillas are amazing, and all ingredients are super-fresh and tasty. Look forward to following the growth and evolution of this great menu, space and team.

Wow, you have to try the chicken and waffle. The awesome crust on the chicken is out of this world. Phenomenal service, great environment. Will definitely come back.
